This product was recommended by my hairdresser. I bought the first bottle from the salon. It was much more expensive than it was on Amazon. The bottle lasted 4 months and my hair was noticeably silkier and more manageable when compared to other high-end shampoos offered in the salon. My husband now uses this too

Alterna Shampoo Worth the money

When my hairdresser used this shampoo on me, I was thrilled. Thrilled, that is, until I saw the price they wanted. When I found this shampoo on Amazon, I was thrilled for real because the price was reasonable and this is a great product. My hair has never been as silky and smooth. I blow my hair and there was broken ends and frizzy ends sticking out everywhere. Not any more since I have used this product. I didn’t really see any volume. My hair is fine and it still looked fine after using the product but it did look more shiny and more manageable.

Update: Since using this product, I have tried the Alterna Caviar Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I think the moisturizing formula is a little better for me but I would purchase either if on was not available.

I bought the 33 ounce size of each and they are a good buy at that size. You only need a small amount of the shampoo. I use more of the conditioner but both bottles have lasted me for months so far.

Alterna Shampoo Best Ever

Best shampoo, to date, that I have ever used. I recently let my daughter try it and she loved it! I first purchased it from a beauty salon, but the best price I have found on it is here at Amazon. It does not strip hair color as other shampoos do. Great product!

I recently had a brazilian blow out. They always suggest that you use a shampoo that is sulfate free to make it last longer. So I purchased this item from the salon. I don’t know where this has been my whole life! It is fabulous. I even have 2 tracks of extensions in (dead hair) and I used to have them changed out every 2 months because they would dry out and look fake. However, this shampoo and conditioner make even my extensions last for 3+ months. Such a great product.

This has been a stressful year with ill health, multiple high dose runs of prednisone, antibiotics etc. Already color treated my hair became extremely dull and dry, a reflection of all my body has been enduring. I switched from Redken to Fekkai but my hair quickly reverted back to a dull frizz ball, barely recognizable as human hair. Reading multiple shampoo reviews I was anxious to experiment further before the brillo pad on my head worsened. Several shampoo brands were immediately ruled out due to my allergies/asthma as their natural products would only make my respiratory status even worse (Bumble and Bumble, Purelogy, Aveda etc).

Fingers crossed I tried Alterna Caviar Seasilk Shampoo. It was as if my hair had dialed “911″ and this shampoo answered the distress call. I cannot believe what a difference it has made! Granted, it is more expensive but well worth the investment for my hair’s health and general outlook on life. The expense is also overcome as I don’t need to use nearly the quantity of shampoo as previously. I compared Amazon to salon prices of the shampoo and Amazon was by far more reasonable. I also purchased the conditioner, another great product.

Wow! This has been the one of my best purchases from Amazon this year!

Alterna Caviar Shampoo AMAZING!

This stuff is awesome for your hair. I color treat my hair and it is great for preserving color. My hair is about 5 inches past shoulders, I have thick hair, fine strands and it is wavy, this makes my hair very soft so I don’t have to use a leave in conditioner so my waves won’t frizz. I use daily pureology hydrate and this for a lux treatment.

Alterna Caviar Shampoo Love it

You might balk at the price tag of this his Caviar Seasilk Moisture shampoo–and honestly, all Alterna products have luxury price tags. But you will be thrilled with the glorious halo of shine this shampoo will give you. The omega 3 in the caviar really does something to your hair. I also have thick, fine, wavy hair (like the reviewer above) that has a tendency to to be dry and to frizz a little toward the ends. But not any more. Using this product is like an extreme makeover for my hair, and makes all my other shampoos sit collecting dust.

For comparison, when I have used the Alterna Caviar Seasilk VOLUME shampoo, I found it also to be effective in creating shine, but it has no relaxing effect on waves. And the frizz does some back after a day. With the MOISTURE shampoo, frizz is effectively banished, and my waves are slightly relaxed. The effect is not heavy, though. Think silky, soft, shine. Think everything you always wanted in a shampoo but were afraid to ask. I regret only that it took me so long to discover this wonderful shampoo, and all the money I wasted on other products.

Lastly, I have noticed that even when I use conditioners that are not the matching Alterna Seasilk Caviar Moisture conditioner, this shampoo still works to make my hair shiny and silky. It also works beautifully on my five-year-old’s unruly curls.

Buy the large size to save on the per-ounce cost. I swear, you will LOVE this shampoo.

I recently bought an 8oz bottle of the Caviar Shampoo at my salon and paid $30.00. Amazon’s price is excellent for both the 32 oz shampoo and conditioner. It goes without saying what a great product this is, but with an excellent price as well, how can you not choose shopping at Amazon. I will definitely buy this again.

Caviar’s product line is the best I have used in my 50 – some years of dealing with naturally curly, tangle-prone hair. This conditioner with sea silk is such a great find I had to purchase it in the large container (for best buy and simply the knowledge I would not run out for a good while). I have medium length hair which is fine and curly. For years I have tried conditioners which attempt to de-frizz, de-tangle, and maintain the moisture in my hair. However, none feels as good and does the job as well as Caviar’s. The product leaves my hair without any heavy build-up, completely tangle-free, and easy to style. Since I discovered it about two years ago, I hate to use any other conditioner-! The shampoo and conditioner in combo has left me without any damage, “split-ends”, or dry-looking hair. I also color my hair with a delicate all herb blend coloring. The Caviar products are gentle enough to work well even with coloring. I can’t rate this product higher than five stars, but if I could, I’d give it a few extra….that’s how great of a find it is.

Alterna Conditioner AWESOME!

This product did an awesome job on my hair!!! My hair is coarse, dry, and thick. My desire for my hair style is straight. I used the caviar moisture shampoo and hemp straight conditioner(directions said leave in three to five minutes but I left it in for fifteen mins. because my hair is thick- then rinse) along with a little hemp straight balm (a little goes along way!). Alterna Conditioner Nothing better for super dry hair

I’m 39 years old with thick, frizzy, highlighted hair. My hair, even when it’s not color-treated, is so dry it’s crunchy. While making my way through high-end to low-end “moisturizing” hair products that didn’t make a dent in my dryness, I got a sample of Alterna Caviar Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I didn’t expect much of it–the scent was just okay (IMHO), and the consistency was like most shampoos and conditioners. But my hair was so soft and smooth. After straightening, I usually have flyaways and kinks. But after using Alterna, my hair was as smooth as baby hair. I’ve been using Alterna Caviar for several months now and I highly recommend this. The Rapid Repair Spray is also good. I’ve tried the Caviar Blonde, but it’s not as moisturizing.
