Be it known. Dove 2 in 1 shampoo is a product forever etched in the American psychee. It has seen us through 2 gulf wars, the attack on Panama, 3 recessions, the release of 4 Ben Affleck movies, several attempts to shoehorn shows in between Family Guy and The Simpsons etc. I would never have imagined a day when Dove 2 in 1 shampoo would leave the confines of the suburban community. but alas. I have been trying to find it in my local store, only to see it replaced. Replaced by the sort of underhanded mimicry that not only sullies the Dove name but decries us as the very nation we imagine ourselves to embody. It was on this week, in 2011, that I saw Dove 2 in 1 shampoo replaced by separate shampoos and conditioners in not 1 or 2 stores, but 3. I had to resort to ordering it on Amazon of all places. It would appear that Dove is being twisted into the gruesome image of Pantene. And not in a beneficial or wholesome way, but in the cheapest way imaginable. 2 Doves divided against one another CAN NOT STAND. I attempted to make right what went wrong. I bought the moisture therapy conditioner, and hoping against hope this could be rectified, I combined the two. Well only the most seasoned (or mad) alchemist could hope to get the combination right. And I was left with hair that was slightly too dry for the days remaining. I ask of you, is this what we have become. Weeping haggard souls twisted in our shower stalls, bitterly trying to mesh the remnants in a plastic conditioner bottle with a clarifying agent? It isn’t the America I remember. I remember a time, when an American could brush his teeth with a soft bristle and mouthwash, pour a shampoo/conditioner on his head and still have time to make cinnamon toast crunch before driving his hybrid car to work. There could still be such a time. I implore you reader, write to your local grocer or Target supervisor. Don’t ask, DEMAND that they bring back the America they we used to love. DEMAND that they bring back a more innocent time. A time when we could order a latte at Starbucks without worrying that the formula had changed and the flavoring had become overpowering to the earth bean accents. A time when we could live.

like most men, I want a one bottle solution when washing my hair. Dove 2 in 1 is excellent in every regard. clean not mediciney smell, so super concentrated that one bottle can last for months, washes clean with no residue, and leaves my hair soft, lush, and even after a whole day my hair feels clean, not oily or dried out like other shampoos. like most men, once we find a product we like, we stick with it. this is definitely a shampoo worth “cheating” with.
